Experienced Executive Directors &
Nonprofit Leaders

I know.  I've been where you are.  Having worked for over 30 years in nonprofits of all sizes, the demands on your brain space and physical body are tremendous.  How do you do it all?

You are surrounded by lots of folks who need a piece of you for decision-making, encouragement, toughness/tenderness, and innovative ideas.

Your boss (board chair) changes every few years and he/she can be too hands-on or too hands-off.

Your volunteers are amazing, challenging or maybe downright subversive.

There is no crying in nonprofit leadership.  OK, maybe a little every now and then.

I understand the uniqueness of your leadership position and together we can unravel the complex pieces and build solutions.

CEOS, VPS of Advancement, Chief Development Officer, and Executive Directors who have been in the trenches for a while, I can help you...

  • Develop practices for effective personal time management, boundary establishment, and priority setting

  • Address toxic infighting among staff (don't tackle your teammates!)

  • Build more effective relationships with board leadership

  • Review your board recruitment strategies/processes

  • Establish a rock-solid fundraising plan

  • Review prospect management strategy

  • Assess current development/overall team structure

  • Make your staff meetings more effective

  • Ensure your board meetings address strategy vs. the "color of the napkins" at your next special event

  • Review your schedule and find efficiency

  • Develop a plan for cultivating/soliciting major donors

  • Elevate a major gifts program or start a new one

  • Plan and facilitate an effective board or staff retreat

  • Create your succession plan or exit strategy

...And so much more (because there is SO MUCH MORE!)

Coaching Services

I know how busy you are - sometimes you forget to eat during your daily onslaught of meetings and can't make time to even get to the bathroom!

That's why our time together will be scheduled, and effective as we create a path forward together.  Things you will work on in between our coaching visits will be achievable based on what we agree to together.

I am direct and can be hands-on. I won't be a roadblock or a crutch.  I'm the coach you need to get to the next level, build competencies and expand your understanding of the many options available to you.

What you get in the Coaching Package each month:

  • 4 meetings a month

  • 2, 90-minute virtual meetings utilizing Zoom virtual technology

  • 2 15-minute check-in huddles

  • Unlimited email access (response typically within 24 hours)

  • Replay recording (MP4 of our meetings) if desired

  • Each coaching client receives a customized Trello board.
This virtual collaboration tool is where you and I will work together on our agreed game plan. You may have heard about Trello before but we will bring it to another level. Productivity, organization, and a real-world solution!

  • After each meeting, you'll receive a recap document with highlights and my thoughts for you from this session and things to think about until our next time together.

Minimum engagement: 3 months (6 months preferred), longer options are available

*Spaces are limited.  I only work with a specific number of coaching clients to ensure access and attention.
